Creating Wellbeing Projects
Thank you so much for working with our young people. The Yoga session was fantastic, very calming and peaceful, it was really lovely how you involved C with the music bowl, it’s usually difficult to keep his concentration for a whole session, but he did really well, thank you. (I think the adults benefitted hugely as well!!)
The Skills 4 Life sessions were really enjoyable, fast moving and focussed on equipping the young people with skills and knowledge for independence. I’m glad you enjoyed working with the young people, I am proud of them too, it’s amazing how much resilience they have! Excellent working with you Jules and I hope we get to work with you again soon." Julia Brooks - Bristol TACT Children's Resource Worker "Jules was an excellent facilitator at the South Bristol Menopause Support day which I organised. She also generously met with me before the event to share her experience and coach me through the new project. On the day - first of all she led a short mindfulness and grounding session for the practitioners - bringing us all together and ready to work as a team. Then once the participants arrived she created a safe and boundried space so that everyone felt able to share personal stories and trust that they would be supported and respected. Jules seems really good at knowing when to share, when to participate and when to observe the group she is facilitating, and while it is all done with integrity and thoughtfulness, her style is also light-hearted and fun. Jules is really flexible - there were times through the day when we had to put our heads together and adapt the programme (when parts took longer than expected - down to my planning), but she remained unflabbable and continued to hold the space for everyone. Participants loved the check-ins that Jules facilitated and several of them said that the Mindful Walking exercise she led was their favourite part of the day. Once the participants had left it was lovely to be brought together once again by Jules, to debrief, share positive feedback, and bring the day to a close."
"Jules' warm and inviting approach to mindfulness demystifies the practice and makes it practical to use on a daily basis, allowing us a break from the hectic pace of modern life and a chance to 'just be'. The workshop for Silent Illness Keynsham was very much enjoyed by the group and I've also found the yoga and mindfulness in the park enormously uplifting, with the connection to nature adding to the mix in a wonderful way.
